Main Line Health Tea Towel
Our client, Main Line Health, a research institution and hospital located in Wynnewood, PA, was seeking a design for a tea towel to provide as a gift to philanthropic donors. The original client brief requested a muted color palette and illustrated icons of their hospital system and regional landmarks. We provided creative direction and worked with them to find a design solution they were happy with, and while they were satisfied with the first concept, they decided to pursue a more bold and colorful option. We quickly reassessed our clients' needs and formed a new direction to take.
For round two of the project, we found additional inspiration. Main Line Health was looking to push the envelope by introducing a new color palette and typefaces beyond their standard Gotham for this design. The brief included examples of work from other illustrators and designers, and under art direction from Singletary Design Group, I came up with this solution. My vision for the project was to create an illustration that came across as "warm and friendly yet can still be taken seriously." I incorporated one of their main colors, a dark cyan, and chose a palette that was bold and eye-catching. Our client was thrilled with final product, and we were able to attract another client for a similar project as a result.
